Melissa Windham Neill

 
I was born into a family of artist, who were born into a family of artist, and they were born from artist too. Our art is our family legacy, going back as long as we chase it. It is our craft that we have passed down each generation, and I am the latest proud recipient.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting. I am greatly inspired by my gender to create pieces I feel connected to. I have a passion for faces, and specialize in portraiture.

  The "Irene" series is based on a portrait of a 1940's model, my Grandmother, Thelma Irene. The Wallflowers are based on portraits of women through out my life engaged in the struggle of finding and losing themselves in their own skin. The commissions I do mostly consist of portraiture, done in a multitude of styles, and start at $200.
